Questions

How do I restore my purchases?

Open any Pro screen in the app and tap Restore at the bottom. Purchases belong to your Apple Account, so they come back on any iPhone or iPad signed in to it.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Train of Thought Pro. While you subscribe, the app links there from its own Settings too. Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

How does the free trial work?

The yearly plan starts with 7 days free, for an Apple Account that hasn’t had the trial before. The app leaves you a quiet reminder two days before the week ends. Cancel at least a day before it ends and you won’t be charged.

Do my journeys sync between devices?

Yes. Your logbook, pass and settings sync through your own iCloud account, on each iPhone and iPad signed in to it. Sync is on unless you turn it off, in the app’s Settings under iCloud.

Does the app use my location?

No. It never asks where you are, and it doesn’t include the permission it would need to. You choose your home station yourself, and the train on the map is a simulation.

How do I delete my data?

In the app, open Settings, then Your data, then Erase all data. It deletes every journey, your profile and your preferences from your device, and with iCloud sync on, the deletion reaches your iCloud too. Purchases are not affected. You can export your logbook first, from the same place.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone and iPad with iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 or later. The app is in English.

Does it work offline?

Partly. Planning a new journey needs a connection, and the map shows what the app has downloaded: it fetches a route’s maps as you board, on Wi-Fi unless you allow mobile data. Journeys you have planned before open without one.

Does it block other apps?

No. It’s a timer you keep because you want to: it doesn’t block apps or silence notifications.

Policies

The privacy policy says what the app does with information (in short: it stays on your device and in your own iCloud). The terms of use cover Pro, subscriptions and the journeys.
